Friends,

The time has come for us to look at the way we do business, and make necessary changes to protect ourselves and our families, as well as you and your families. We remain committed to being here for the community that has supported us for the past twenty years, and it is our hope that implementing the following changes to our operations will allow us to keep serving you throughout this unprecedented situation:

1. Our hours of operation will immediately change to 12pm-6pm, Mon-Sat. Appointments may be available outside of these hours. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss your scheduling needs.

2. We will no longer be open for browsing our showroom. We will be working to setup an e-store, and make more of our merchandise available for purchase online. In the meantime, please call us to discuss your product needs. We will be happy to point you to our vendors’ websites, where you can view product details, and we’ll be able to offer our advice on what product(s) will best fit your needs. Customers will still be allowed in the building to look at specific items by appointment, and appropriate protocols will be discussed with those customers.

3. All bicycle fitting and sizing services will be unavailable until further notice. If you purchase a bicycle from us during this period, we will ask you for certain information that will allow us to get your new bicycle adjusted so that it is suitable for your use in the near-term. Once we are able to provide fitting/sizing services again, you will be invited to schedule a time to bring your bicycle back in to receive the free setup we typically provide, or offered a discount for a full fit service.

4. We are still offering repair services. Items brought for service/repair are to be dropped off outside our front door, and you will be asked to move back a safe distance while a staff member assesses your item(s), collects information from you, and provides a quote. Pickup of service/repair items will be handled in similar fashion – payment will be taken over the phone, or handled in-person in a manner that minimizes direct contact between staff and customers, you will then remove yourself from the immediate vicinity of our front door while your item is brought out and disinfected for your safety, after which you will be able to collect your item(s). Alternatively, we will unload/load your item(s) for you, while you remain in your vehicle. In the case of inclement weather, you will be invited into the building, but expected to stay in a designated area by the front door.

5. Rentals will still be available, by appointment only. Bicycle rentals will be picked up/dropped off similarly to service/repair items. Kayak trips will still be available for groups smaller than 10 persons, and protocols will be discussed at the time of booking. Delivery will continue to be available for rental items. As always, charges may apply for delivery services.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we continuously evolve our business practices to fit the current environment in which we find ourselves. Right now, the best thing you can do is CALL US to discuss your needs before making a trip to our store. We recognize that this is an inconvenience, but we feel that it is necessary at this time. If we all take appropriate measures now to limit our interactions with others, we will hopefully be able to return to “normal” more quickly than if we continue to conduct our daily lives in the manner we have become accustomed to.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these new procedures, please feel free to reach out to me directly. While staff members, and others, have been consulted on these changes, I take full responsibility for their implementation, as the safety of our staff members and their families, as well as the long-term sustainability of our business, is my highest priority. I truly appreciate each and every one of you, and look forward to many more years of helping you “Go Outside and Play!”

Stay safe,

Adam Heagy
